PHYTOPLANKTON

PHYTOPLANKTON is a meditation and call to action to protect our ocean's most important and virtually invisible organisms. Phytoplankton are the microscopic organisms of the ocean that generate half of the Earth's oxygen. They are the basis for nearly all oceanic food chains. However, warming ocean temperatures, toxic chemicals being poured into our bodies of water and plastic islands forming from human disposal are causing these vital organisms to die off. These factors put ocean life and humans at risk for basic survival.
